Lion Bipul Ch. Das

Lion Bipul Das was born in Shivmandir, Siliguri. He completed his schooling from Shri Narasingha Vidyapith and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Commerce from North Bengal University. Presently, he is the proprietor of the civil construction firm M/S Gouri Construction. He is happily married to Lion Kakuli Das, a loving home-maker and they are blessed with two lovely children their son, Arghya Das and daughter, Sneha Das.

Lion Bipul Das’ journey into lionism began in 2003 when he was instated as a Charter member of Lions Club of Shivmandir. Years later he was elected as President of the Club during the two consecutive years of 2016-17 and 2017-18. During his tenure membership growth had significantly increased for Lions Club of Shibmandir, leading it to earn recognition as a prestigious World Class Centennial Club from the Lions Clubs International, for being the highest membership club from Dist.322F.

In these past years, Lion Bipul Das has held various important offices in the District including that of, the Zone Chairperson, GMT Co-ordinator, Cabinet Treasurer and Inter-Region GMT Coordinator.

Lion Bipul Das is a keen learner and has taken his role as a Lion leader very seriously. In the L.Y. 2007-08 he became a LCIF – Melvin Jones Fellow, then in 2014-15 he became a Double Diamond DFF member, and not long ago in 2021-22, he also became a committed LCIF – Permanent Melvin Jones Fellow.

He has attended all the ISSAME Conferences conducted in Kolkata, Dubai and Chennai in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively and has also undergone leadership training of DLLI in 2016-17 and RLLI in 2018-19.
