How District 322h Impacting Societies
With approx 1700 dedicated members in 50 Lions club in District 322H the impact of our service activities can be felt across the geographical area of Malda, U/D Dinajpur, Kalimpong and Hills of Darjeeling. We are working on various aspect of society needs –
Motivating people Practise re-uses and recycles of articles to protect environment.
Regular tree plantation programmes to save our environment.
Implementing projects like “Jan Ahaar” to ensure no one sleeps hungry.
Providing healthy food and regular cheek up is the key to beat the evil of Childhood cancer for this purpose conducting regular screening camps.
Working on detection of Diabetes though permanent health centres.
Our vision centres are providing affordable cataract surgeries and spectacles
An affordable permanent child immunization centre will come up very soon.
Sanitary napkin vending machines are being placed.
Various self defence and women empowerment initiatives.
Our team is always ready to any help people suffering due to any natural calamity.
Trough Lions quest we are working on school children to train them to be better human being.
In our area there is an acute shortage of Blood. We are conducting regular blood donation camps.
Setting up “Wall of kindness” across our district where people can donate anything and will be distributed to the Needy.
